This is a wonderful, secluded marsh overlooking Broad Creek and the Potomac in Prince George's County (about 10 minutes south of the Wilson Bridge). Good diversity and numbers of waterfowl, Tundra Swans, gulls, and possibly marsh birds can be found this time of year. Bald Eagles are frequently seen, and have been confirmed by DNR to nest near the marsh. It is about a mile walk in, with some wet, marshy terrain, so good waterproof boots are recommended. Call me for more information at (410)721-1744. The date is this Saturday, January 26th. The departure time & location is from Beltway Plaza off of Greenbelt Road (MD 193) at 7:30 AM. It will be a half day to 3/4 day trip.
