As many of us recall, there was a problem last winter with unethical birders & photographers overwhelming some Frederick County farm property in order to see a Snowy Owl. Unfortunately, Leon Nawojchik, as the leader of a USDA field trip which detoured to view the owl, did not feel he needed to follow ethical birding behavior in this instance and as a result was not a good role model for his class. When one of our members called to his attention that he was allowing his group to trespass on private property, his attitude was "so what?" I seriously considered contacting the USDA about his behavior, but unfortunately, did not do so. Others who were present could give you more details, and I hope Leon has improved his attitude. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
