Last Tuesday I had seen one of these birds carrying nesting material, so looks like the local nest over here is off to a good start. - Great Horned Owls have had much to say the past few nights, sometimes in the walnut tree right outside our bedroom window. - Bluebirds, Carolina Wrens, Towhees and Cardinals were all singing today. A flock of 20 or more Cedar Waxwings has been around this week, and a Brown Thrasher was sneaking a few seeds from the sparrow feeding spot along my driveway on Wednesday.
