Mime-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit I know this isn't Maryland, but my husband and I went yesterday and saw the Dusky Flycatcher in its usual place, sporting its shiny new silver band! New bird for me. I have looked for these out west many times and have been unsuccessful. Of course, as I look back on some of my notes, I may have seen it and not been able to ID it. So thanks for those who made life easy! Also saw a feisty Brown Thrasher while we were searching and heard pipits in the adjacent field. Nothing special at Bombay Hook, a total lack of Shovelers. Besides the usual pintails and American Black Ducks, we only saw Common Mergansers and Bufflehead (waterfowl-wise). We did find a little better variety at Port Mahon (wigeons, shovelers, Hooded Mergansers, American Coot, Ruddy Duck, and maybe Gadwall (too far to be 100% positive). Little Creek was totally empty; could have something to do with the hunters nearby. -- Marcia E.
