I would appreciate it if the locales of owl species other than Snowy or Short-eared Owls NOT be posted. Owls have a tendency to generate feeding frenzies among birders and publicizing locations of a day roost almost always results in damage to the owls in question. This has been a long-standing policy not only of this list, but also of the Voice of the Naturalist and other responsible bird-reporting hotlines and lists.
