One has to wonder though, why the one found here in Wicomico Co. MD in Feb. 2000 was largely ignored. It was in the same pristine condition, showing no bands, clipped toes or unnatural feather wear and was in the company of migrant Canadas. Reports were submitted shortly after it was found and photographed and we assume the records committee will deal with it eventually. Good luck Va. Enjoy this gorgeous bird like some of us here did. But we still feel we beat you to it.
