Great Blue Herons have always been one of my favorite birds so I was quite
pleased to find 19 of them roosting in the trees across from where I live on
Furnace Creek. I have never seen such a large gathering there; at the most,
there has been 5 and that was only recently.

You can almost always see a few feeding a short way up the creek where Rt 10
crossesover it, and early summer mornings often finds one in the pond next to
my house. Might there be any significance to this large gathering? I did
not see any nest material but can I hopefully add a "yet" to that statement?

Good birding to you all.
