Hi Ospreyers,

I just spent about 20 minutes watching a female PILEATED WOODPECKER
pounding away on several different trunks, one of which she was very
interested in, in my backyard. As she was moving ever closer a male came
along and whisked her off to the woods across the adjacent cornfield. To
my chagrin, I could no longer see them. However, a nice afternoon treat!
