Sorry, no B*************** to report, but last week I did see a weird hybrid- looking goose on the grassy field to the south of the Lincoln Monument reflecting pool. It looking like a cross between a Canada and a Greater White-fronted Goose. It was very large, had yellow legs and bill, a white chin patch mottled with brown, and a white patch surrounding the base of the bill, also mottled with brown. Weird indeed, and usually I would not report such a goose, but I'm desperate for something new on the Mall!
