Several years ago Rick Blom found us a "weedy-seedy" field near Taneytown (also Carroll Co.), however that field was plowed, or otherwise disturbed, a couple years ago and is no longer favored by the owls. It was the only reliable site out here. There are supposedly some areas of Bull Frog Rd., west of Taneytown, which winds north into Pa. where they have been seen irregularly, however I never found them there and do not know the "hot spots" along there to look. I am told they are closer to Gettysburg than Maryland. Good luck.
