Also seen here was a soaring juvenile Bald Eagle, heading upriver. A singing male Red-winged Blackbird along a farm road reminded us that spring is on its way. Yesterday, Saturday Feb. 16 at Black Hill Reg'l Park, 41 Tundra Swans were seen from 10 mile creek, along with small numbers of Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, and Hooded Mergansers. A single Killdeer was in the gravel parking lot by the fishing ramp, and a Hermit Thrush was seen from the Osprey Hts. loop. Lots of Pied-billed Grebes, too.
