The bird continues to stay near the area of post 13. 42 species in all (43rd was an unidentified owl that flushed from some pines.) Brown creeper, winter wrens, golden-crowned kinglets, belted kingfishers, sapsuckers, towhees, fox sparrows and a brown thrasher were also found. Skunk cabbage emerging along the river. Yesterday I birded meadowbrook where there were a whopping 22 fox sparrows. 9 white-crowns, 1 american tree, a couple swamps and the expected songs, fields and white-throats. Later that same morning while birding the plum tree path in dorsey hall, a bald eagle flew over. Looked like an adult bird but with a hint of dark banding on the tail.
