One bird had a red neck collar (number not discernible). It had a larger body, longer neck, longer head front to back, with a sharper, more angled, rear crown, and a longer bill. In flight the wingtip was wider, more squared-off at the tip, showing a less pointed hand. The line of feathering from the eye to the base of the lower mandible was more elongated, slanted back, and gently curving, but not quite as much as for Trumpeter. The line feathering at the top of the bill was gently curved, not sharply notched with a v. These last two features suggest that the bird has mixed ancestry. The flock may have moved off to the (hidden) ponds across the river at the VA water intake.
