Horsehead 2/22 2000+ Ruddy Duck 2 Red-breasted Nuthatch 2 Brown-headed Nuthatch 1 Hairy Woodpecker 2 Fox Sparrow 309 Ponds 2/22 1 Richardson's Canada Goose (this bird was in a flock of snow geese, even= though there were Canada's on the other side of the road) Deal Island 2/23 2 Eurasian Wigeon 1 possible EurasainXAmerican Wigeon 1-2 MallardXBlack Duck 14 Least Sandpiper 1 Bonaparte's Gull 2 Tree Swallow Elliot's Island 2/23 Canvasback (#was beyond counting, thousands.) Ruddy Duck (#was beyond counting, thousands.) 50 Common Merganser (on the only real lake in maryland) 15-20 Dunlin =20 30 Lesser Yellowlegs 2 Peregrine Falcons (these birds were soaring together) Blackwater NWR 2/23 Very dull.... except for the intersting log book, I think the only likel= y sighting in the last week may have been Green Heron, and I'll just leav= e it at that. Did see 41 Turkey in between Elliot's and Blackwater near t= he old Harriet Tubman homestead. Cambridge 2/23 2 Surf Scoter 2 Redhead Lesser Scaup Greater Scaup =20 Easton 2/23 1 CanadaXGreylag?
