Most promising was a pair of HORNED LARKS that I will keep close tabs on. The expected species were vocal and setting up housekeeping. Over a dozen RED-WINGS have staked out little spots. A pair of CANADA GEESE holding territory. Sparrows were exciting (as usual) with 6 AMERICAN TREES, 3 FOX, 4 SAVANNAHS, 55 SONGS (singing madly) and 60 JUNCOS. A single female GREEN-WING TEAL , 4 HOODED MERGANSERS one COMMON SNIPE.
