During my lunchtime walk today, I saw a Brown Creeper and at least one Pine Warbler (perhaps 2) at the DC Veteran's Memorial on the Mall. They were in a large feeding assemblage that included lots of Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice, several each of both kinglets, and a Downy Woodpecker. In other news, I'm hearing the song of House Finches, crows are starting to rattle amorously to each other (now is the time when ID'ing Fish Crows starts to get tenuous, since American Crows may give the juvenile begging calls that sound Fish Crow-like) and Common Grackles are about here and there.
