We watched her hunt = the area behind Merganser Pond and then go to where the 4 crows were feed= ing on the ground and all but physically attack each one as if to say, "S= orry, but I'm hunting here!" Sometimes, paybacks are hell,,,hooray for th= e harrier. Although it was ra elatively calm morning, we saw 3 red-should= ereds (2 ad. and 1 imm.) soaring together, 1 red-tailed hawk, and 1 coope= r's (plus the fem harrier). Other activity was pretty routine. Bluebirds = checking out some nest boxes. A few tree swallows looking for insects...l= ots of gnat-sized insects flying near the water, probably a morning hatch= with the mild weather. Our mid-week monthly morning walks (FREE) at North Tract are open to the = public, usually lasting around 3 hours. The next walk is Tues. April 9 fr= om 7:30 to 10:30 am. Call 301-497-5887 to register or for further info. =20 Steve Noyes (Volunteer Naturalist) Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel, MD evetsseyon@msn.com =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
