(3/11). Not a soul at either place!! Most of the common = resident and wintering birds were noted. Lots of bluebirds in the fields/= open areas, numerous song sparrows singing, 4 towhees were heard (dweeb!)= at Nottingham and a harrier was observed hunting over the river marshes;= only ducks seen were mallards and Am black ducks. Also hundreds of RW Bl= ackbirds were traveling through the marsh grass. =20 Stopped at Spice Creek (at Rte. 382) and spotted another soaring bald eag= le (adult this time)...in Feb. I had seen a 1-2 yr old eagle w/heavy mott= ling on underside. Lots of mallards (~150) took off when I stopped at the= bridge; a red-tailed hawk soared in the distance. A beautiful crisp, cal= m morning in Maryland. Bon Birding!!
