We had an hour long wait before seeing a Woodcock at 6:30 PM. It flew over and circled twice without vocalizing; but it's wings made the whistling noises. After settling in the field, it gave several "peent" calls at 6:45, and then again at 7:00. We also enjoyed three singing Fox Sparrow, a singing Field Sparrow, three singing Eastern Towhee, an Eastern Phoebe, and two Wood Duck.
