The corvids have always fascinated me with their intelligence and perserverence. Not to mention their mischevious nature. ********************** Frank Boyle ravenfrank@earthlink.net Laurel, MD ********************** -----Original Message----- From: Maryland Birds & Birding [mailto:MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM] On Behalf Of Tim Ray Sent: Friday, March 15, 2002 10:01 PM To: MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM Subject: [MDOSPREY] Lots of crows building nests For folks involved in the Breeding Bird Atlas, this is an easy time to confirm crows as nesters. In the past 10 days, everywhere I go there seem to be crows carrying nesting material. The crows carry a lot of straw and mulch, so gardens and freshly seeded areas (with straw covering) are prime areas.
