Aventine Rd. section of new Chapman's Landing State Park, off Indian Head Hwy. in Charles County. About 46 species, including Pine Warblers, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, about 1200 Greater Scaup, a dozen Common Mergansers, one Common Loon, Osprey, 3 Bald Eagles, about 8 Phoebes, no other distinctively passage or summer birds. Also a Duskywing not ID'd to species, Zebra Swallowtails, Cabbage White, numerous Spring Azures. This is a birdy park with glorious river views. The highest praise is owed those individuals who were active in the effort to preserve it.
