There was a glossy brochure with 10 Metrorail-accessible natural areas highlighted. As of last year, before I moved, there were tons of these brochures in the basement at Woodend. ANS also produced a less slick "More Wild Places" list of 10 more places to visit ... this should at the very least still exist on the computer networks there. I did most of the picking of places and writing for the brochures; it was fun to explore many of the places, like the woods and meadows near West Hyattsville and the Four Mile Run area near West Falls Church. Judy Bromley (jbromley@audubonnaturalist.org) did a lot of the work on this program and would be a good contact. There are some good birds around here ... oops, wrong list for that! Mark S.
