Date: Sun, 17 Mar 2002 11:31:54 EST Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Rick Sussman Subject: sightings for 3/15-17 Comments: To: voice@capaccess.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit March 15, Greenbridge Rd. on the Triadelphia Reservoir, Montgomery County : 2-3 singing male PINE WARBLERS in the pines (oddly enough!) next to the parking lot, about 5 PM. 3/16 At the Leight Sancuary in Abington, Harford County : more singing Pine Warblers in the woods near the visitor center, an immature Bald Eagle, many Brown Creepers in the woods, along with Golden-crowned Kinglets, a single Eastern Phoebe, and 2 flocks of Tundra Swans heading overhead, numbering about 150 birds. 3/17 Zion Rd. in Montgomery County, again, many Brown Creepers (6-7, many calling) were working the trees along the road. My assumption is that they were on the move throughout the area this weekend, as I don't normally see this many in a two day period.
