Also of interest, both the American Crows and Fish Crows were seen with nesting material. The Mute Swans continue to work on their nest, and I spotted 11 Wood Ducks this morning. The Swamp Sparrows are especially pretty in their breeding plumage. A late post - on Friday (3/15) I saw 2 White Crowned Sparrows at the feeders at the Merkle Visitor's Center, one adult and one immature. There was also a 2nd year Bald Eagle in a tree behind the visitor's center, as well as 4 American Wigeon and 4 Green Wing Teal in one of the ponds.
