The highlight were two adult Lesser Black Backed Gulls. The mudflats are fairly close to the brick sidewalk/observation area, so I got good looks at these birds and the other gulls. Also present were: 11 Greater Black Backed Gulls (6 1st year, 2 2nd year, 1 3rd year, & 2 adults); 47 Herring Gulls (10 1st year, 5 2nd year, 10 3rd year, & 22 adults); 79 Ring Billed Gulls (42 1st year, 9 2nd year, 28 adults). Also present were a pair of Osprey, one of which was flying very high above the river, alternating between flapping rapidly and short stoops, calling the whole time. The other Osprey was scanning the river for fish.
