The birds will spend quite a bit of time on their chosen spots, and they seem to claw or gnaw on most everything around. The result is some fairly substantial damage to roofing. (One lady said it cost her $500 last year to get their damage repaired - and this year they are back again.) Has anyone ever heard of any effective methods for getting them to choose to roost elsewhere? They mainly seem to come in fairly late in the evening, and spend the night on the same roof. At the moment, it is a group of six on one of the houses. The number varies from time to time.
