I did see: 1 OSPREY with fish, being pursued by crows 2 RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS, also pursued by crows 1 PIED GREBE 4 GREEN-WINGED TEAL 2 WOOD DUCK 5 COMMON MERGANSER 1 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET singing his heart out 2 FOX SPARROWS numerous NORTHERN FLICKERS 1 YELLOW-BELLED SAPSUCKER Over on the other side of the Anacostia at the National Arboretum, in Virginia pines in the Grove of State Trees, I had: 1 singing male PINE WARBLER numerous GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS 1 BROWN CREEPER Mike Bowen Bethesda, MD D.H.
