During at least one of those years there were up to six or so birds at multiple locations including Cranseville Swamp, Bear Creek, and Cherry Creek. I assume these were all breeders. After having such good luck with snipe for several years in a row, I was surprised to find no snipe over the past few years. Maybe populations fluctuate from year to year and we only get them in good years.
