Beach Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit On March 27, 2002, at the jetty at Rod & Reel in Chesapeake Beach, i saw the most fabulous imm. Glaucous Gull i have ever seen. If i weren't so "gull dumb", i could say if it was 1st or 2nd year, but alas.... After sitting on the jetty for a while, it flew over to the wooden groin that that seperates the parked boats from the bay, with a bunch of Herring Gulls, giving me a good size comparison. This was between 3 and 3:15 pm. Still lots of Surf Scoters out there too, and a few gannets. Could not find any Red-throated Loons this time, but they are certainly still there. Lots of Bony Gulls moving up Jug Bay the last several days. Also, an Oldsquaw on Jug Bay (behind my house)on the 27th. danny bystrak bristol, AA Co, MD ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
