In the small park behind Lords Ldg on the west side of Brown's Station Rd we saw our first Barn Swallow of the season, and there was a Red-shouldered Hawk sitting on the nest and calling near the parking area on the way towards the big pond. [msg sent to atlas coordinator also]. The pond was empty. We went to Jug Bay (PG side) and saw our first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher of the season, and heard our first two Yellow-throated Warblers of the season singing near the NE corner of old Croom Airport, which is where the B-g Gnatcatcher was also.
