Lots of Tree Swallows and Wood Ducks. Ring-necked Ducks still present. Saw one of the Red-headed Woodpeckers. Heard Pied-billed Grebes calling but did not see them. Most noteworthy sighting were 2 YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS which were together, one of them did a short display of the egrets and of the long head feathers after landing. I also saw one Chukar by the roadside on Hughes Road, just a bit after entering it from River Road.
