Also, a few reptile and insect sightings are included for those = all-encompassing watchers(like me). Bombay Hook NWR: BIRDS:Pied-billed Grebe, Double-crested Cormorant,Great Blue Heron, = Great Egret, Yellow-crowned Night Heron(2-Pair? seen in same tree about = 1' apart),Glossy Ibis(2-on the ground, 40+flying overhead-flocks were = flying overhead all day), Turkey Vulture, Snow Goose(multiple large = flocks flying overhead about 830am-800+birds), Canda Goose, Tundra = Swan(1 loner), American Black Duck, Mallard, Blue-winged = Teal(1pair*life bird for me), Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, = Green-winged Teal(I lost count of how many there were), Ring-necked = Duck, Bufflehead, Northern Harrier, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, = Ring-necked Pheasant(1 beautiful male walking along edge of of marsh = just past the visitors center), Black-bellied Plover, Killdeer, = Yellow-legs, Dunlin, MANY OTHER PEEPS ( I am not to good at identifying = them yet), Mourning Dove, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, = Northern Flicker, Blue Jay, Horned Lark, Purple Martin, Tree Swallow, = Barn Swallow, Carolina Wren, Eastern Bluebird, American Robin, = Yellow-rumped Warbler, Eatern Towhee, Savannah Sparrow, Song Sparrow, = White-throated Sparrow, Northern Cardinal, Red-winged Blackbird, Common = Grackle, Brown-headed Cowbird, House Finch, American Goldfinch INSECTS:Green Darner Dragonfly, Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly REPTILES:Chorus Frog, Spotted Turtle Port Mahon Road & Prime Hook NWR: BIRDS:Not listing repeats, just new sightings American Coot, Gadwall(1pair), Snow Goose(okay one repeat a field = full of them), Red-breasted =20 Merganser, Black-necked Stilt(5 of them), Bonaparte's Gull, Laughing = Gall, Ringed-billed Gull, Great=20 Black-backed Gull, Fish Crow, Brown Thrasher, Boat-tailed Grackle Silver Lake: BIRDS:Not listing repeats, just new sightings Canvasback(1 pair) , Lesser Scaup(4 males, ? females), Ruddy = Duck(small flock, 20+ birds) Rehoboth Beach - ocean/beach area: BIRDS:Not listing repeats, just new sightings Red-throated Loon, NORTHERN GANNET(3, *life bird, even got to see = them dive) I think thats about it. I had a good day, though it got really windy = once I made it to Port-Mahon Road and did not let up the rest of the = day.
