Age can be reported as full adult or subadult for male Purple Martins
rather than using the banding codes.

I apologize for any confusion I've caused.  Martin landlords are asked =
to
report the age of their martins.  As with 1W, 2W, and 3W gulls, plumage=

identifies age. PUMA (purple martin) adults are aged as ASY, subadults =
as
SY, fledglings as HY.

ASY=3D After second year
SY=3D second year
HY=3D hatch year
