Date: Sun, 7 Apr 2002 14:12:12 -0400 Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Hans Holbrook Subject: Howard county 4-6 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable My Dad and I took a cruise around the county on Saturday. =20 At Wilde lake there were Ruddy and Ring-neck Ducks, and a few Tree Swallo= ws. =20 Centenial Park hosted lots of Tree Swallow, and smaller numbers of Purple= Martin, Barn and Rough-winged Swallows, there was at least one Cliff Swa= llow as well. 5 Pied-billed Grebe, 6 Bufflehead, 1 Gadwall, and a pair o= f Kingfishers mating. Meadowbrook was slow but there were 2 eastern Palm Warblers. On a farm pond in the county there were Green-winged and Blue-winged Teal= present. At Brighton Dam there were 2 Shoveler, 5 Bonaparte's Gull, 3 Caspian Tern= , and 60 Double-crested Cormorant.
