The tide was dead low at 11 am, and there were about 700 Bonaparte's Gulls swimming, loafing and walking on the mud flats. Despite extensive scanning, we couldn't locate anything unsual, such as Little Gull. We may try again at high tide when the birds are more concentrated and when flying Little Gulls are easier to spot. There were also quite a good number of swallows, the vast majority Tree witha few Rough-winged, Barn and Purple Martins thrown in. That and a nice raft of Shovelers were about it.
