Along the Potomac and the Tidal Basin, numerous Double-crested Cormorants and a couple of Caspian Terns. At the north end of Hains Point Golf Course, a Savannah Sparrow. Lots of birds at the DC Veteran's Memorial: A large flock of Chipping Sparrows, with some Yellow-rumped Warblers and a (yellow) Palm Warbler mixed in, a territorial Brown Thrasher, a lurking Towhee, a Brown Creeper (still!) and a Hermit Thrush. On my return to work, 3 Black Vultures soaring over the Castle (I will not interpret this as meaning anything).
