Highlights were a = Vesper Sparrow just north of the inetrsection of Harford Creamery and = Bradenbaugh Roads and a stop at Conowingo, where we had two Lesser = Black-backeds, one adult and one going into second summer bird. The Bald = Eagles were at the nest, as were the Ospreys, and a least 30 Great Blue = Herons were on nests across the river. Otherwise there were 500+ = Double-crested Cormorants. The most frustrating bird was a possible = adult California Gull seen too briefly and at too great a distance for = certainty, although I strongly suspect it was and in mind of Marshall = Iliff's interest in subspecies, if it was a California it was definitely = an albertensis. We'll try again Sunday perhaps.=20 Eirik A.T.
