MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Folks, While taking a stroll in the southeastern section of my atlas block this afternoon, along the north bank of the Patapsco River in Baltimore Co., I visited a once-dry pond that had a bit of water in it from the recent rain. Two shorebirds were there: a SOLITARY SANDPIPER in fairly crisp plumage and a very pale, basic-plumaged DUNLIN. Other birds seen during the outing were PURPLE MARTIN, TREE SWALLOW, N. ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER (5), YELLOW PALM WARBLER (3), RED-TAILED HAWK, AM. KESTREL, and a handsome BARRED OWL.
