Folks

While doing a little atlas work in Nanjemoy CE, Gwen and I came upon 10 =
species of warblers. Mostly in the Hancock Run Road (HRRd.) stretch. =
And the 10 were:

Parula several locations - HRRd., Adams Willet Rd., Rt. 224.
Yellow-rumped Warbler - Adams Willet
Yellow-throated Warbler; Liverpool Point Rd., Rt. 224
Pine - generally everywhere in the block
Palm - Adams Willet Rd.
Black & White - generally everywhere in the block
Ovenbird - generally everywhere in the block
Louisana Waterthrush - HRRd., Adams Willet Rd., Liverpool Point Rd.
Common Yellowthroat - Liverpool Point Rd., Bumpy Oak Rd.
Hooded Warbler - Rt. 224 just south of Liverpool Point Rd.

Other birds of note along the way were:
25 (without trying) Great Blue Heron going and coming from the Nanjemoy =
Heronry
5 Bald Eagles at Thorne Gut (south of Purse's State Park)
a responding Barred Owl on HRRd.
0 Red-headed Woodpeckers at Thorne Gut. This is the first time at this =
location that I have found no (zero) RHWP. We did fine three at Bumpy =
Oak Rd. on our return. The dead trees are older at Thorne Gut and the =
population may have moved on. I will be watching this. Tree Swallow =
were investigating the holes that remain in the standing trees.
White-eyed Vireo - HRRd.
Eastern Phoebe - HRRd.
60 Tree Swallow -Thorne Gut=20
2 Rough-winged Swallow - Thorne Gut=20
Brown Thrashers - generally through out the block.

Good birding.

George
