It was quite pleasant since they were all very productive. New birds were GREEN HERON and SORA. Highlights were AMERICAN BITTERN on 2 of the trips. A single VESPER SPARROW that was only seen in short flight by the trip leader. Great scope views of SAVANNAH, HORNED LARK and PIPITS. Both TEAL species and a WOOD DUCK nest and eggs that had been thrown out of a cavity by a squirrel. Not too many warblers but we did find PARULAS, LA WATERTHRUSH, PINE, PALM and YELLOW-RUMPS. BARRED OWLS calling but not visible, flyover CASPIAN TERN and a COMMON LOON down on the water. Tiger swallowtail, spring azure, morning cloak, duskywing sp., cabbage whites.
