Subject: Re: ID that Bird Song MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" Denise, Sounds like a Parula. Instead of the primary song described by Peterson of Ze---up, I more often hear the Parula singing do-do-dedede. The key hear is that it sounds very buzzy from a distance. Almost all of the Parulas I've heard this year have been singing this song instead of the "primary" song described on "Birding by Ear". In fact: last night was the first Parula primary song I've heard this year. Hope that helps. I am going crazy trying to ID a bird song. I heard a soft slow 2 notes followed by two sets of 3 shorter notes when I am around water (Rock Creek and C & O Canal) the last week. I have been going through my CD's for the mystery bird with no luck. Since my skill are mediocre at best, I thought you all might have an idea. When I was listening through my set of Stokes Eastern Birds CDs and heard the same song in the background of the Orange-Crowned Warbler. If anyone else has the CD would you let me know what you think?
