Date: Mon, 22 Apr 2002 18:15:35 -0400 Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Stan Arnold Subject: AA Co. on 4/22 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Folks, A short afternoon outing in the southwestern corner of my atlas block around the two western Halethorpe ponds in AA Co. produced a surprise female BUFFLEHEAD, seven SOLITARY and one SPOTTED SANDPIPER, a BROAD-WINGED HAWK, a pair of OSPREY (nesting at the big pond in the block next door), a SWAMP SPARROW, and my first BLUE-WINGED WARBLER of the year. The four goslings previously reported have now been joined by another set of five. Last night at UMBC, a bluebird box contained an unusually large clutch of six eggs.
