MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi all, I realize this is a little late but I wanted to share Kent County = sightings for what was obviously a good spring birding weekend. On Saturday (20 April) we stayed in our immediate neighborhood near = Worton and had 8 migrating Common Loons go over along with 16 northbound = Blue Jays passing at a considerable altitude, we also had our first = local House Wren. We ranged more widely on Sunday. Before we took off for afternoon = errands/birding we had a hummer hover at our picture window, and had 3 = Purple Finches and our first Red-eyed Vireo in the yard. At Chespeake Farms we did the tour loop and had 46 of our 72 species for = the day. Highlights there were: 19 Green-winged Teal (main pond off = Ricaud's Bridge Rd), 8 Bald Eagles, 15 Lesser Yellowlegs (with the = teal), 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 13 Least Sandpipers = (also with the teal), a 'yukking' Pileated Woodpecker, 4 swallow species = (martins were seen elsewhere) including 4 Bank Swallows, a Gray Catbird, = and 8 sparrow species including 6 Savannahs, and 10 White-crowned = Sparrows (many in song). At Eastern Neck there were still 3 Lesser Scaup, and 130 Ruddy Ducks, = our first local Laughing Gulls of the season, a Caspian Tern, and a = calling Marsh Wren in the marsh elders at the narrows. We also saw 3 = Great Egrets in Edesville on our way home. Sure makes me want to get out more often. Good Birding, Walter Ellison =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
