We met at 7:00 am at picnic areas 17/18, spent maybe 1/2 = hour there, then went south to the larger opening with the fences for = maybe 3/4 hour. We then walked back to picnic areas 17/18 and spent = some more time there before heading to the visitor center area. We = split up around 9:15 am. =20 Common Loon: 1 in summer plumage was first heard yodelling, then spotted = by John Hubbell. =20 ?Common Merganser: also spotted by John Hubbell, only he and I saw it. = A male, it was already well passed us when he found it. From what we = saw it seemed in pattern and flight style more like a merganser than a = loon. =20 Broad-winged Hawk: 1 flew low over the visitor center. Brown Thrasher Gray Catbird American Robin on a nest Wood Thrush (singing) Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Blue-headed Vireo -- studied for several minutes as it sang Red-eyed Vireo: heard, but not seen Palm Warbler Yellow-rumped (Myrtle) Warlber: oodles Black-and-White Warbler: at least one male seen and heard Chipping Sparrow Before I arrived John Hubbell had spotted Worm-eating Warbler and = Black-throated Blue Warbler. =20 I know I have forgotten / left off many species. Sorry! =20 Rob Hilton rhilton@csa.com Bethesda, Md.=20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
