A series of health issues had slowed him some in recent years but he had always managed to get back out birding. Many of you knew him from the years he spent at Town Hill hawkwatching - where nothing delighted him more than the sight of another Golden Eagle soaring past. He was rightfully proud of his 500th Golden when he reached that milestone a year or so ago. He was also responsible for adding Mountain Bluebird to the list of Maryland birds. And his list of Allegany Co. birds is simply unmatched. But most of all he was just a great guy. It won't be the same without him.
