J.B. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to Fran Pope and others, I'm getting pretty interested in butterflies (and dragonflies). As a result, I've developed close-focus binoculars envy. I know I could get close-focusing binocs in the $500-600 range, but I don't want to compromise on quality for birding (I have Zeiss 7X42s now); otherwise I'll be carrying 2 pairs of binoculars in addition to all the other stuff I already carry, and I don't need that! I'm thinking of getting (if I can afford them) the B&L 10X42 Elites, but before I make the purchase, I want to be sure there's nothing new and better on the horizon for a comparable price. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted at the e-mail address listed after my name. Thanks!
