We have Yellow-crowned Night-Herons breeding nearby. They bred successfully last year and the year before. Three years ago, however, a severe storm knocked down the nest, and the herons did not rebuild them. I can not remember the date of that storm. I will check these birds tomorrow to see if they are still there after today's storm.
