Frederick MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit What a day (weather and bird-wise)! Started out with a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, nesting Eastern bluebird, and probable nesting Tree swallow in my front yard. Last one I saw was several years ago, little realizing at the time how rare these things are around here, anyway. Stopped at corner of Clarksburg and Bethesda Church Roads (old school house?). In any case, in the trees next to the stream were ORCHARD and BALTIMORE ORIOLE. Also an old oriole nest. A Spotted sandpiper in the stream (I am not good on the water birds, but that seemed most likely). On to Browning Run trail at Little Bennett to find CHAT and COMMON YELLOWTHROAT WARBLER. (On the north side of Clarksburg Rd -- did not try the other side of the road.) A bit further south at the Schoolhouse area, turned right (away from the schoolhouse) and found PRAIRIE WARBLER, Great-crested Flycatcher, INDIGO BUNTING, female EASTERN TOWHEE, and many other regular species.
