Comments: To: md-smas@yahoogroups.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Today while Tyler Bell, Sue Hamilton and myself were participating in the 24-hour Southern Maryland Audubon Society Birdathon, we encountered several BLACKPOLL WARBLERS at Calvert Cliffs State Park, Calvert County, MD. We had 19 species of warblers in all, with plenty of Black-and-whites, so we were a bit surprised to find these birds that usually signify migration is winding down. We ended the day with 122 species for the Calvert Team, the "Purple Martins".
