Just north of Solomons a Yellow-billed Cuckoo flew across the = road. Why couldn't that have happend during the alotted time period with = all of us in the car? When I arrived at home Jane asked me if we had seen Rose-breasted = Grosbeak. No, big whiff on that one. Well, she had seen one at the feeder = and while we were eating dinner he came back. Got some nice video of him = shelling sunflower seeds. This morning, 5/6, I stopped at Cage Rd. and Mackall Rd. near Patterson = Park and had Northern Bobwhite (which we missed). A Grasshopper Sparrow = was in the road taunting me with excellent views which we had to work so = hard for on Saturday. Plus, Eastern Meadowlarks and Horned Larks were = singing all over the place. 4 species in about one minute would have been = really nice earlier!
